Salmon and trout fishing
Angling Club Lax-į is Iceland's largest sporting outfitter. We have fishing on 16 of the top salmon rivers and also self catering salmon rivers all around Iceland. Iceland is surrounded by the deep, clear North Atlantic Ocean which is full of fish. Half-day sea angling trips can be arranged on a 25-foot fishing boat. The main species caught are pollack, haddock, cod, catfish, flounder and plaice.

Goose shooting
Hunting in Iceland has only recently been embraced by foreign sportsmen, and the few who have made the journey have usually been pleasantly surprised. The coastal fringes are host to thousands of geese that gather there in the autumn, after a summer of breeding in the mountain areas, before their long flight south. The shooting takes place mainly in open fields, farmed land, along riverbanks and on river estuaries. We are permitted to shoot four species of geese in Iceland from August 20th until March 20th. You are permitted to bring into the country semi-automatic or double-barrelled shotguns. The most effective calibre for goose shooting in Iceland is 12 gauge.

Reindeer hunting
The vast, wild and unspoilt interior of Iceland provides ideal habitat for ptarmigan and reindeer. The season is from August 1 until September 15. Our team has 12 years of guiding experience in this particular hunting environment. You are permitted to bring bolt action rifles to Iceland. We can also take you to Greenland for a true wilderness hunting adventure by dog sled.

For taxidermists and those with a collection of mounted birds, we offer a specialist trip that will enable them obtain a variety of new species.The purpose of this type of trip is that the client can shoot an example of as many different species as required for their collection.
